MSBOA News for Band Students  
Festivals are coming up in March!! Symphony Band plays at 3:00 PM and Wind Ensemble plays at 4:30 PM on Saturday March 14 at Clarkston High. Jazz Ensemble plays at 7:45 PM on Tuesday, March 31 at Andover High School. Watch for more info coming home with students. 


The Ferndale High School Bands are under the direction of Mr. Elon Jamison.

News  
1/6/2009 - Ferndale is proud to have 5 students selected to the District 4 Honors Band and 1 student selected to the District 4 Honors Jazz Band.
Honors Band members include Jonah Meltzer (trumpet), Daniel Cole (tuba), Randell Seaton (tuba), Chris Melnick (percussion) and Paige Pfleger (percussion) as well as to Honors Jazz band member Marc Tellier II (trumpet). Congratulations!!!
12/2/2008 - Congratulations to Dan Cole, who made All-State Band, and to Keith Wiley, who made All-State Orchestra. They will travel to Grand Rapids to perform as a member of those ensembles during the Michigan Music Conference, January 22-24. This is the same conference the FHS Wind Ensemble performed at last year.  2300 students auditioned, and only about 300 made it, so this is quite an achievement.
