5/20/2009 -  There was an eagle spotted soaring over Ferndale High School Tuesday at 3:00 pm that must be a good luck omen
. So you will want to keep your Eyes open for the Golden Eagle Marching Band Trailer. As the Eagle has landed and is located near the marching band room for all to see. It looks as if the Golden Eagle Marching Band will be noticed where ever they go!!! Thanks to everyone for their hard work putting this project together and make it the best it could be for all the members of Band and the School. 4/2/2009 - Congratulations to FHS Jazz Ensemble for earning straight 1's at MSBOA State Jazz Festival. The energy exuding from this group was incredible!

4/2/2009 - News From the WGI Finals in Dayton: CONGRATULATIONS to Ferndale's Winterguard who scored an 83.4 in preliminary round at the WinterGuard International Championships. Ferndale now moves on to the semi-finals and will perform again Friday (4/3) morning. The top 16 teams from the semi finals will compete in the Finals Friday night. Preliminary Scores

3/31/2009 - FAB Elects New Board Members - The FAB welcomes four new faces to its Board of Directors for the 2009-2010 school year. Scott Brazeau, Carissa Gaden, Karin Jahn, and Lisa Wetzen were elected at the Annual Membership Meeting on March 30, 2009. Kim Saville and Joan Weidner were re-elected. All terms are for two years. Congratulations and thank you to all!

3/30/2009 - CONGRATULATIONS to Ferndale's Winterguard, the "Independent A" SILVER medalists with a score of 85.9 at the MCGC Winterguard State Championships, their highest score of the season. Their fabulous show "BLUMZ" was a close second (by two points) to Michigan State University's guard "State of Art". Congratulations to Jason MacIntosh, his staff, the guard and all the support staff (parents, friends, bus & truck drivers, FPS Administration) for a wonderful MCGC season. The guard will compete for the first time, at the WGI World Competition this Thursday and Friday in Dayton, Ohio. Keep your "GO Guard" chant in your thoughts this week!

3/15/2009 - Ferndale Winterguard Finishes 1st at Milford Competition - Congratulations to the Ferndale Winterguard who took first place in Independent A with a score of 82.20. See complete list of scores .
