Fundraising Goals The Ferndale Schools Fine Arts Boosters are hoping to raise between $200,000 and $250,000 over the next three years for a capital improvement fund. This fund will be used to replace the infrastructure of the Fine Arts Music Program at both Ferndale High School and Ferndale Middle School. Items that are in need of replacement include marching band uniforms, concert dress attire, instruments and risers. These items have been nursed along well past their "life expectancy" and need replacement. Our goals are high and we strongly feel our schools and community are worth it! Ferndale's Fine Arts program has a long history of outstanding performance and achievements. The most recent achievements include the three time State Champion Marching Band (2004, 2005 and 2006) , three time State Champion Winterguard (2005, 2006 and 2007), the 2005 State Silver Medal Drumline, and the FHS Jazz Ensemble performances at the 2005, 2006 and 2007 Detroit International Jazz Festival. In addition, Ferndale has had numerous FHS and FMS students selected to Regional and State Honors Choirs. The Bel Canto Choir had the honor to sing at the NAACP dinner in 2005.
