The Ferndale High School Marching Band is under the direction of Mr. Roger Smith & Mr. Elon Jamison. Ferndale has been a member of the Michigan Competitive Band Association since 1989. Ferndale has finished in the top ten each year since 1991. The band has won numerous awards and honors at various parades around the country and state as well as state wide MCBA contests. On November 1, 2003, the Golden Eagle Marching Band placed 3rd at the Michigan Competing Band Association state finals.
