Flamingo Flocking Update

One of the newest fundraisers is a
Marching Band Flamingo Flocking.

For a donation of $25 ($15 for students) you can join the fun by selecting where the flock will land next. To do so, please call the flamingo hotline at (248) 399-3086.

The flamingos will flock anywhere in the Ferndale Public School District. They will occasionally fly across district lines to neighboring cities for an additional charge.

`Flamingo Insurance` is available for an additional $30. Once insured, the flock can not return to your yard for 30 days.

Flamingo Flocking will be an annual fundraiser that will begin May 1 and run through July 31 of every year.

Does sneaking around in the dark sound like fun? Do you enjoy that adrenaline rush from `almost` getting caught? Can you assume `stealth mode`? Are you a Marching Band member (including guard, pit & battery), or a parent of a band member? Then you might just have what it takes to be a Ferndale Flocker.

8/2/2004 - The Flamingo Flocking Fundraiser has exceeded all expectations!
Our beloved George & Molly and the rest of their pink-feathered friends have raised more than $2,000 for the Marching Band general fund. We are very appreciative of all the great community support we received during this silly event. The Ferndale Flockers had a great time, and we sincerely hope that the �flockees� had as much fun as the �flockers�.

Look for the flamingos to return next spring...

6/27/2004 - Flamingo Flocking season is almost over.
On July 31st the Ferndale Flamingos will be migrating and leaving the Ferndale area until next year. For information on how you can arrange a visit from the Flock before they fly away click here .

They left W. Saratogo they went to Kenwood , Grayson, Roanke , Oakdale. Currently they are on Hanover & Woodside Park.
