8/15/2006 - Jill Jack with Billy Brandt will perform a benefit concert for FAB-Taste of Music Capital Campaign on September 9, 2006 at FHS. Tickets include a picnic style dinner from 5:30-7pm, listening to warm-up band "The Fran Project Experience" at 7pm and Jill and Billy's performance at 7:30 pm. Marching Band Reminder: Full ensemble rehearsals for The Ferndale Golden Eagle Marching Band start up again on Monday, July 31^st at JFK School from 6 � 9 p.m. The band will be back on the regular Monday/Wednesday schedule. Interlochen Band Camp is only 2 � weeks away!!

7/25/2006 - Marching Band Fee Payment Reminder - A reminder that the 3rd and final payment for this year's Marching Band is due Monday, August 7th. Click here for more information. Individual financial statements will be sent home with each student on July 31st.

6/21/2006 - Marching Band Rehearsal Canceled due to Tornado Watch - It is school district policy to cancel all extra-curricular activities in the event of a tornado watch. Please remember there is a mini-camp this Saturday from 9 AM - 6 PM at Kennedy School. Also, don't forget to stop by the High School Saturday for the Rummage sale! You never know what treasures you might find!!

6/18/2006 - Reminder - Hungry Howie's fundraising orders due Monday, June 19th. Payments must be submitted with orders. Orders will be distributed on Monday, June 26th, between 5:30 - 9:00 p.m. at Kennedy School, where the band will be rehearsing. Questions? Contact Joan Weidner or Tammy Dengate .

6/13/2006 - The Marching Band is looking for donations for their annual Rummage Sale on Saturday, June 24th. If you would like to donate books or other items please contact Tammy or Connie . Marching Band families can reserve a spot to sell their own items by stopping by the sign up table before band practice on Monday and Wednesday.

6/5/2006 - Hungry Howie's Pizza Fundraiser Kicks Off Today - Marching Band students will be bringing home information and order forms for this fundraiser, which runs through June 19th. Delivery date is June 26th. This is a student account fundraiser so 90% of the profit ($2.70 for each pizza certificate) will be credited to the student's account. 5/18/2006 - Garden Fresh Fund Raiser Pick-Up is Wednesday, May 24th - Pick up your orders in the high school band room between 2:30 - 7:00 p.m. All orders must be picked up that day. We do not have the capacity to store them for later pick-up.

5/15/2006 - Deadline to sign up for the High School Band & Orchestra trip to Florida has been extended. The last chance to sign up for the trip to Disney World is Wednesday, May 17th. If you are interested in participating, please see Mr. Jamison.

5/12/2006 - Garden Fresh Salsa Sale Extended to Monday, May 15th - Because Mr. Jamison was not at school today to collect orders, the deadline for turning them in has been extended to Monday, May 15th. Please make sure all orders are turned in by the end of the school day. Contact Joan Weidner if you have any questions.

5/8/2006 - Ferndale Middle School Tag Day is Saturday, May 20th. The event runs from 7:00 AM to approximately 3:00 PM, with students working in 2-hour shifts. Students should report to the FMS Band room 15 minutes before their shift begins and should wear either their FMS concert shirt or their orange Ferndale Public Schools shirt.

5/2/2006 - Marching Band Fundraiser Starts Today - The Garden Fresh Salsa fundraiser starts today and runs through May 12th. Delivery will be on May 24th, in time for Memorial Day weekend parties! Order forms are available from Mr. Jamison. Click here for details.

The Marching Band Senior Video is On Sale. This delightful video was done by Andrew Moldenhauer, a 2005 Ferndale grad and former Marching Band member. It includes '06 senior interviews, marching band performances, and glimpses into what band camp is really like. It's a FABulous memento of the 2005/2006 championship season.

The DVD sells for $10 and can be purchased from the FAB General Store at the upcoming Spring Concerts. It will also be available after the Marching Band Parent Meeting on Wednesday, May 3rd (see below).
